The aging infrastructure and diminishing sense of community in old residential areas have inspired our project. We introduce the concept of "metabolism" to design a gamified community where players evolve building components through interactive gameplay.

This fosters a dynamic, engaging environment that revitalizes the community, making it more vibrant and sustainable.

The concept of metabolic architecture

Player lifecycle
The Player Lifecycle describes the stages a player goes through in a game, including: New Players, who are just starting to explore; Core Players, the most active and engaged group; Risk Players, moderately active but showing signs of decreased engagement; Lapsed Players, inactive for a set period (commonly a week); Dormant Players, inactive for over a month; and Resurrected Players, returning after inactivity. 

These categories help analyze player behavior patterns and understand typical drop-off rates, such as 50% becoming dormant within six months, even in high-performing games.

Players can collaborate to create their dream community while also working together to achieve special reward points within the game.


The game community will randomly generate special rewards, and players must collaborate to unlock them. The more players that reach the goal, the greater the rewards.
In the game, random building components are generated periodically. Players need to collect a certain number of them to build and thus reach the game's goal points.


At the start of the game, players can only use basic building structures. As they level up, more systems and combinations unlock, offering greater control over components.
Each component of the game is given a decay mechanism based on the type of building component, and the decay time of each component is different


Each component will gradually turn black from color, from new to old, from usable to unusable over time, symbolizing the process of metabolism.
